It’s true, training is a good idea if you are thinking of running a marathon. This is something that I have suspected for awhile, but now I have proof. From an Expert.
I saw this video on Runner’s World… It is a piece filmed just prior to the recent New York marathon
Busting Marathon Myths (Click the Link)
Feel free to watch the video for yourself, or just read my summary, below:
Dr Marc Siegel says:
- Carbo loading does not work
- 40 % of marathoners experience muscle cramps
- Runners are more susceptible to stress fractures – particularly if you don’t train properly
- You need to train for a marathon. You should start around 6 months before race day.
So there you go… Expert proof of what we have long suspected!
